Guest Speaker:  Wayne McNee, CEO of LIC LIC: Building a World Scale Agri-technology Company by 2025

Soon after his appointment as CEO of LIC in 2013, Wayne McNee was public on his aggressive strategy for the company which includes the Vision and Goal:

To improve the prosperity and productivity of our farmers’ and ‘Delivering service and solutions for farmers which enable LIC to be a $1 billion revenue cooperative by 2025’.

Each of the four product portfolios (Genetics & information for superior livestock, Farm information and decision support systems, sensors and automation, and international genetics and technology) would be expected to deliver on substantial growth.

Growing the international business of LIC. Partnerships, mergers and acquisitions to accelerate growth.

Much of this is already apparent: Partnering with the agritech leaders Lely and SCR, the purchase of DAL and formation of LIC Automation, the investment in Figured, the buy-out of CRV in Australia and much more to come.

In his talk Wayne will discuss the genesis of this strategy, its context, progress and the milestones he identifies on the way to building a billion dollars of annual revenue.
