Guest Speaker:  This month we welcome Dr Michael Lakeman 

Michael Lakeman is a veteran of the bioeconomy, having survived the boom and bust of the first generation biofuels market, to become a key participant in the global push to develop low-carbon sustainable biofuels for aviation.

Dr Michael Lakeman spent over a decade at Boeing, leading the development and execution of their biofuel technology strategy, and leading regional project development across the Pacific rim.   He has served as an advisor and consultant to government, industry, and has led diverse stakeholders to bold action towards common climate goals. Michael received the last ever Botany Ph.D awarded by the University of Washington, Seattle, and earned his B.Sc in Biological Chemistry from the University of Canterbury.
