AgResearch and the University of Auckland have signed an agreement to continue collaborations in structural biology for a further five years, to 2012. As a partner in the Institute for Innovation in Biotechnology, New Zealand's largest Crown Research Institute operates the AgResearch Structure Laboratory in the School of Biological Sciences, thereby gaining full access to the School's academic expertise and research infrastructure. Projects focus on a variety of agriculturally important proteins and are directed by AgResearch Senior Lecturer/Scientist Dr Shaun Lott, who is jointly funded by each partner organisation.
